No sense getting a fabulous do and then having

it drenched or squashed. If the beauty salon can put it up, they can help you figure out how to protect it! Get a couple great umbrellas: the big golf numbers will get you and your best girls safely to the Air Max France, car and from there to the venue, all dry and toasty. But wishing and praying for good weather isn't really a very effective dealing with the slop strategy! Dress at the Venue: Most places have a dressing room. Your friends' closets are great for this. Figure out how to protect your hair. You've planned every tiny little thing for the wedding, but you can't plan for perfect Puma Femmeweather, particularly in the winter. Enlist your bridesmaids in making this a fun place to dress. Chairs are not a wedding dress's greatest allies! You want something you can lift your skirt over and sit down without crushing. If they don't they'll have an office or something. (and you want to cover up with your brother's 1983 boyscout poncho - which you will want to have washed off and aired out before!) Second hand stores are great places for this. Wear weather appropriate footwear to the venue. White sweats to cover up your girly, girly lingerie. (You may want to think a bit about your groom and groomsmen, because wet wool tends to smell like wet sheep. It stains the shoes and it will make you miserable all day. That way you don't have worries about dragging it through the rain, hail, snow and slush. If not figure out how to get the car as close to your house/hotel/whatever and then to your venue. What you can do is plan to deal with the winter weather at your wedding in ways that allow you not to notice that it's a bother.Plan Early: You can start planning for the weather to be bad early. Why not get the something borrowed out of the way? Pay attention to your feet: You actually don't want your wedding shoes to get cold or wet. Get your Dress there early: If there's one good day of the week (say Wednesday) call your venue and see if they have a secure place where you can hang your dress. So's the sporting goods store. It makes the trek fun. And then change. Your relationship deserves it! I dare you, be happy together! The Rev. Look at this as a challenge rather than a downer. Go find something wonderful to wear to the Venue: You want something funky, and something warm. Have someone bring a screen and a great stool to sit on. Figure out the car thing: If you've got a limo, perfect. And hey, you don't want him getting a cold on your honeymoon either!) Then concentrate on what matters: your beloved, your community, your wedding vows and your new marriage.Bottom Line?: Give your relationship the chance it deserves to succeed wildly, against all odds! After all, you deserve it. Think what fun your guests are going to have being cozy at your wedding rather than whiny shut in at home or slogging around in the weather outside. Think what a wonderful contrast you (and your bridesmaids) will be for the dreary, sodden day. After all, it is a winter wedding! Then if you're pleasantly surprised, you've nothing to worry about.
